Knitting Progress
Now that the holidays are over and the library has reopened, I have found some time to knit.
I FINALLY cast off the lace scarf that I started last January! (And immediately cast on another one with the rest of the pretty green yarn. )
I made progress on the 2nd striped sock I've been working on.
And I finished the first front piece and almost finished the 2nd front of a baby sweater for my new granddaughter who is due any day. I have never made a sweater and think that a baby sweater would be a good first try. So far it is fun, but I don't realloy understand where I go from here. Luckily my knit group will show me the way!
I finally finished a baby quilt for a great neice. It's not my favorite, but it's cute and bright. Now I need to get busy with the quilt for the new baby. (I should be making her quilt instead of her sweater!) My DIL asked me to make the same pattern that I made for my son when he was a baby, but in pink instead of yellow. I think that was very sweet, and I love the very pale pink polka dot fabric she chose.
