Birthdays!

It was birthday weekend this weekend.
Baby grandaughter turned 1 on Saturday. Isn't she the most adorable baby ever? She had an enormous party with 30 people there, and she was pretty bewildered by it all. But she loved her new riding toy. Thanks to nephew at
alienscreations for the wonderful photo.

Then grandson turned 5 today! Happy Birthday Mr T! He also had a big party on Sunday afternoon and got all kinds of wonderful aliens, animals and knights, including a remote control snake! Also some boring clothes, but this year he remembered to say "Thank You" for them anyway. He's a wonderful, active, imaginative almost-kindergardener.

It's HOT in Oklahoma. It's always hot here but this summer is hotter than most. It's August 15, and we have already had 12 days over 100, just in August. I think we are up to 19 this summer. My flower beds are drooping and I think I lost an azalea. All I can do is sit and watch TV and knit. I am almost finished with my first River Rapids sock from
Sockbug. It's so pretty and green and lacy. I just want it to be cool enough to wear socks again!
